What types of volunteer opportunities do you offer?
We offer volunteer opportunities across our nine programs: Healthcare Infrastructure, Field and Mobile Hospitals, Cancer Care and Oncology, Medical Education and Training, Humanitarian Medical Response, Public Health and Prevention, Digital Health and Telemedicine, Medical Equipment and Supply Support, and Healthcare Workforce Development. Opportunities include both clinical and non-clinical roles, with options for virtual, hybrid, and on-site engagement.
Do you offer international volunteer placements?
Yes, we facilitate international volunteer placements in partnership with our African healthcare institution partners. All placements follow local regulations, require appropriate credentials/licensing, and include pre-departure orientation and in-country support. Current opportunities are focused on Kenya, with planned expansion to other African countries as partnerships develop.
Is there a cost to volunteer?
African Sahara Charity Foundation does not charge fees for volunteer placements. Volunteers are typically responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses, though we may provide stipends or support for specific long-term placements. We work with volunteers to identify funding sources and cost-sharing options when available.
